Welcome to HONEYCOMB! Full amenities luxury duplex in the heart of River North! Enjoy this unique newly constructed 1 bedroom home featuring private terrace, in unit washer/dryer, a work space and oversized couch for comfy lounging. Whether it's for business or pleasure, this home is your perfect home away from home. Enjoy a coffee shop, bike rental, fitness facility, co-working space, pool tables, a stylish rooftop deck lounge complete with fire pits, grills, and breath taking city views.

The space

Built in the mid-1920s, The Ardus building has been revamped to accommodate 149 apartments with amenities abound. You may enjoy our rooftop deck and lounge, fitness club, updated lobby which extends into a Heritage coffee and bike repair shop, and bike storage plus the added benefits that come along with being a Livly Short Stay guest.
One of the most unique layouts that we've seen, you'll feel like you're living in a stand-alone home at Honeycomb! Kick back on the couch and watch the smart TV, complete with basic cable and ROKU for you to sign into your own Netflix or Hulu accounts during your stay.

The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, silverware, plates, bowls, cups, knives, a cutting board, salt and pepper, olive oil, black tea and honey. There are great markets nearby if you feel the culinary inspiration. Lightly caffeinated seltzer is also in the fridge for you to enjoy. Every room is supplied with a french press coffee maker, coffee, and cream and sugar – for however you take it.

The comfy 4-poster queen sized bed is the perfect place to relax in a bright and spacious duplexed bedroom with plenty of closet space to unpack, even if you're only here for a few days.

Bring culinary inspiration to life on your private deck with outdoor grilling station!

The fitness center is equipped with free weights, strength training and cardio machines, you don’t have to skip leg day on your vacation (if you don’t want to). Personal training sessions and Group fitness classes are available upon request, please contact your host for additional information.

Pets
There is a $25/pet per booking fee.

We know that all dogs are good dogs but the building's breed restrictions are listed below. There are no weight restrictions, but if your buddy falls under one of these categories unfortunately we wouldn't be able to host them: Pit Bull, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Shaffordshire Bull Terrier, Rottweiler, Doberman Pinscher, Chow Chow, Akita, Presa Canario and /or Wolf Hybrids.

While we trust that your pet plays well with others, we know that accidents happen. In the event of an issue involving your pet, you will be required to provide up to date vaccination records and will be fully liable for any medical, veterinary, or property damages incurred

-We pride ourselves on being green and would appreciate you turning off the TV and lights when you check-out.
-Please remember to sign out of any ROKU apps you utilized via your personal accounts before departing.

Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are between 10p-8a.
This is a residential building and ask that for the respect of permanent tenants basic courtesies of being mindful of your noise levels and not congregating in hallways outside of the unit be observed.

Please be advised that this home is equipped with NoiseAware. NoiseAware works like a smoke detector, but for noise. The sensor tracks the decibel levels in this home, evaluates other risk factors and will send an alert if there are excess noise levels detected. Please do not unplug the device.

Receiving a noise complaint from the building or the device can result in the forfeiture of your stay and a $1000 fine.

No Smoking
The home (and entire building including outdoor common areas) is designated as a strictly smoke-free community. There will be a $500 fee imposed if you choose to smoke in the building. Please respect our policy and step outside the vicinity.

Key Fob
The key fob is your way of accessing everything from your short-stay apartment to the amenity spaces in the building. If you happen to lose your key fob, you will be charged $75.

Security
Please be advised that the building exterior and common spaces are equipped with surveillance devices. Please respect the building and its community.

Emergencies
Contact your host immediately with any issues. An emergency maintenance number is provided in the home guide for any building issues that involve water or hazards in the home.

This unit at short stay is a great way to experience walkable Chicago. I stayed for a work trip, but was able to see many unique spots just a few blocks away. Clean, thoughtful, and fun I'll landlubber stay here the next time I return.

This place is PERFECT. We loved the location, the amenities, the coffee shop lobby, and all of the friendly dogs/neighbors! It smells divine in the lobby. As for the unit itself, all of the extra touches were fantastic and the kitchen is fully stocked. You could make a holiday feast in there! The space is beautiful. The views are great and parking was easy (right across the street). The bed is very comfy. The in-unit washing machine was in need of repair during our stay, but the host made arrangements for us to use the washer in a vacant unit down the hall, so that was still convenient. We had an issue with our key cards, but the security help desk gentleman was GREAT - even while I was frustrated. I appreciated his kindness! We would ABSOLUTELY stay here again.

A really nicely done two story bedroom penthouse overlooking downtown Chicago. The secure building has a really nice common area and coffee shop on the first floor. Our interaction in the building with everyone was very friendly. Check in was easy, we were able to pull up to paid street parking that was available along the side of the building to unload and then parked in the garage across the street which was easily managed by an app suggested by the Host. The space itself was the perfect size for us (2 adults and a medium size dog). The walls of windows overlooking the surrounding buildings and the skyline of Chicago were amazing and during the morning, the black out blinds were a nice touch. The kitchen and baths had everything anyone would want in a short stay, the large terrace was ideal for spending time during nice weather. the bed was extremely comfortable and the space was extremely clean. The location is very walkable to most downtown destinations, there are tons of great restaurants in the area and Whole Foods is a few blocks away, Trader Joes a few blocks further from there. I would definitely recommend this space to friends and family.

The stay here was wonderful. The view off the balcony was beautiful at night, the bed was comfy, the decor was stylish, and our hosts left us some extra touches for our anniversary. I stayed here as a solo traveller visiting the city for the Chicago Marathon. The apartment is great - excellent location and great views from the bedroom and terrace. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arose.

You cannot ask for a better location, especially for the price. It is walking distance from multiple AMAZING restaurants. The pictures do not do the layout justice, it flows nicely and the interior is modern and stylish. The views are stunning, which was one of the biggest selling points for us. Please be aware that doors slam when shutting and hallway noises can be heard quite clearly from inside the unit. This, however, did not alter the overall quality of our stay in the least and we intend to stay here again when we are in town.

Great location. The spacious balcony afforded wonderful views of the city. Appliances were clean and new and the kitchen was well stocked with cookware. When we didn’t visit one of the many restaurants in the area, cooking was a breeze. The bed was cozy and comfy and we both slept well. Overall a good experience and we would look to stay here again in the future.

My Godson and I were very impressed by the home. The balcony is beautiful and the layout is very stylish. Our pup loved the adjacent doggy run ❤️. The upstairs common area was absolutely beautiful and the billiards entertaining. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not functioning at the time we were visiting, but Short Stay did their best to help with the situation. I’m sure it will be up and running in no time! I would recommend this beautiful home just north of the Chicago River

We loved the location of this airbnb! It was a great starting spot for exploring the city and has great restaurants within walking distance all around. There is a coffee shop in the lobby that was wonderful! The bed is very comfortable and the views from the balcony, windows and on the rooftop are AMAZING! However, the location is pretty noisy inside the building. Anytime someone was in the hall we could hear them and were even woken up in the middle of the night by it. Other than that this was an great stay!
